The Ry-ography

Yep, that’s me. You’re probably wondering how I ended up in this situation. We’ll start from the beginning and make it quick.

First off, I’m from Texas where everything is bigger, so I suppose I was born with a predisposed love for big things. Makes sense that I’d end up in advertising, the industry built on big ideas. Makes even more sense that I’d set my sights on the big city, where the original Mad Men laid the foundation for creating big ideas for brands, as the place I wanted to work. I felt right at home when I got my first full-time copywriting position at one of the biggest ad agencies in the business, Grey Global Group. For the next two and half years my partner and I busted out big concepts for clients across the agency. Then we took our talents to Terri and Sandy to see what working in a smaller pond was like. The water was fine and we dove right in. After completing a campaign in which we convinced a client to let customers literally pay with their balls, my partner moved to Philly and I decided to face a fear I’d had since starting in the industry: working freelance instead of full-time.

The freelance life was surprisingly enjoyable, not to mention sustainable. On the subject of sustainability, this was right around the time an old agency friend reached out to me about a company that was launching in the US that she thought I should come to work for. Enter Oatly, where I have worked for the past 7 years of my life. I can go on and on about my experience working at such an incredible company and will do so if you reach out to me at crannibal@gmail.com.

I hate to end things so abruptly but the Oat Milkers need managing…
