Marriott | M Beta

THE FIRST HOTEL IN LIVE BETA

Marriott was evolving to keep up with the modern traveler. We unveiled their Charlotte Marriott City Center (CMCC) hotel by introducing it as the first hotel in live beta. Everything from the check-in process to the fitness center, to the home-style kitchens were innovations supported by the newest technology. Guests could test it all and leave feedback on what to improve, shattering the mold of the traditional hotel.

BETA BUTTONS

We installed “Beta Buttons” to measure likability, strategically placing them near all the new tech. If guests liked a certain concept, they simply tapped the button and a “like” was registered on the Beta Board displayed in the lobby.

SELF CHECK-IN STATIONS

The kiosks allowed guests to check-in with tablets and bypass checking-in with a person. Guests could also check-in online or through their mobile device, which turned their smartphone into a room key.

THE INNOVATION WALL

Our interactive wall with touch-sensitive digital screens informed guests about the newest innovations being tested on-site. This wall was made to move and is traveling to different Marriott locations so people all over the world can interact with it.

LG STUDIO SPACE | RESIDENTIAL-STYLE KITCHENS

In partnership with LG, the CMCC became home to the first LG Studio space. A full LG kitchen is housed on the same floor as the hotel’s third-floor meeting space, and can be used by groups for small brainstorming meetings, networking events, and even cooking classes.
